The project Inclusion Vocabulary – Creating a new Inclusion Vocabulary to foster acceptance of sexual orientation among teachers and students in high schools – is funded by the Erasmus+ programme and it is inspired by the willingness to fight discrimination against LGBTI+ community people in school. The project involves 8 partners from 6 different countries in which more of them are schools: Agrupamento de Escolas do Cerco (AECP, the coordinator from Portugal), Professional School of Ecology and Biotechnology “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” (PGEB – Bulgaria); FAM Y LIAS. On September 21st, 22nd and 23rd 2021, the INCLUSION VOCABULARY Consortium was finally reunited in Piraeus, Greece, hosted by IDEC.
During these three days two people per partners attended the LTTA (Learning and Teaching Activity) on storytelling and video making course. This intensive course was held by the expert Nicos Stampoulopoulos a fiction and documentary director and writer. Tutor and supervisor in film education programs for children and young people.
The training was focused on storytelling and videomaking. For all the participants was important to learn how to create a story and how to create a video on it. This is an important issue considering the third intellectual output of the project “New Vocabulary Video stories” in which will be involved students.
Participants familiarized with the language of film making, trying to apply all the tools to the cause of LGBTQI+ inclusion in education. After having received tips on common mistakes regarding film and sound recording, the Consortium, with the mediation of the trainer, discussed on how to work with young students in order to produce fiction and documentary content.
The third day was the funniest one, since, country by country we produce our own video about that day in Piraeus.
It was amazing to see all the partners reunited together, finally face to face.
